News from the Milan Furniture Fair 2025: trends, materials and luxury design

The 2025 edition of the Milan Furniture Fair, held April 8-13 at Rho Fiera, reaffirmed its central role in the international interior design scene.

With more than 2,100 exhibitors from 37 countries and more than 300,000 visitors (68 percent of whom were international), the event offered a privileged look at 2025 furniture trends ideal for those seeking luxury and contemporary interior design.

Comfort, customization and fine materials

The focus of the brands was on personalized and comfortable furniture, with modular sofas and wraparound armchairs made of sophisticated materials such as bouclé, velvet and natural leather.

Shades ranged from elegant neutrals (sand, beige, warm white) to more intense colors such as rust and sage green, for cozy and modern environments.

Sustainable furniture and natural materials Sustainable furniture and natural materials

Sustainable design was one of the central themes. Companies have emphasized natural materials such as raw wood, cork, terracotta, and natural stone, which make any environment authentic and sensory.

The use of these materials responds to the growing demand for a more conscious and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

Refined outdoor living

Among the most appreciated novelties is the strong presence of collections dedicated to luxury outdoor living. More and more brands are offering elegant outdoor furniture in aesthetic continuity with interiors, ideal for contemporary villas, terraces and gardens.

The biennial Euroluce 2025 gave space to the first International Lighting Forum, with more than 20 international experts. The dominant themes: technological innovation, sustainability and lighting well-being. Installations explored the interaction between light, architecture and visual comfort, marking the evolution of ambient light in interior design.

Luxury craftsmanship and Made in Italy

Halls 13-15 saw the launch of "A Luxury Way," a new concept focused on high-end Italian craftsmanship, combining traditional manufacturing and contemporary design.

The Salone Satellite also confirmed the centrality of young creativity, with 700 designers under 35 from 36 countries gathered under the theme “New Craftsmanship: A New World.”
